This is printing proof #1 Edition: 35 regular edition, Dry-point etching is hand engraving with an etching needle on a naked copper plate without the use of any acid. The printing of dry-points is a very delicate task because of the fragility of the burr. Albrecht D�rer was one of the first artists to use this technique. Even Rembrandt, seeking even greater tonal variation, explored the effects of dry-point .
